Land yachts
We designed and made our own land yachts, then tested them to see which would travel the furthest.
All the land yachts were a great success and entertaining for the children.
They used communication, number, ICT and thinking skills in the process of designing and making them.
Congratulations to the winners!
Well done runners up!

Getting ready to perform their James Bond numbers - Don't they look smart!

The children made their own electric circuits. When the circuit was complete, the light bulb lit up. They then made a switch using paper pins and a paper clip. When the paper clip was not touching both paper pins, the circuit was broken, hence the light was switched off.
Year 4 studied the paintings of Welsh Artist Andrew Southall. He painted 'The Transparency of Nature' - the background shows through the main object in the picture. For instance, with the children's paintings, you can see the shape of the leaves showing through the birds.
