They understand that they are to be treated with respect as they are of great meaning and very important within their religion.

Problem Solving Day in Year 4

We had a fantastic day in Year 4. We used numeracy skills in all our fun activities. A visiting group from Techniquest tested the children's problem solving abilities by pretending they were cooks slicing up pizzas, and the children needed to use fractions to work out the portions and money to calculate the prices.

Even the teachers were given a number! Mr Williams is proud to be No.9.
The children played number games in the yard, the even numbers chased the odd ones. They also made shapes on the floor with different numbered sides, and named the shapes.

Poetry in Year 4

We have been using similes and rhyming words. We used thinking skills and communication skills.
